Cabal Cape

Epaulettes (sometimes spelt epaulet by us lazy ppl) are what we call our capes. There are 3 types: Fighter, Sage, and Guardian. The only way you can see them appear as a cape is to have the appropriate chest armor level equivalent to the epaulette (listed below). This Guide will help you get a better understanding of what bonuses each gives, what armor type each will appear with and their drop locations.

(Due to my limit in BB Coding pics; I've done them w/ links instead) http://forum.cabal-syndicate.com/showthread.php?t=91 - Original Guide Link

**Side Note**

You can wear any cape with any armor; they just will only show on your character with a specific armor set.

First you must be at least lvl43 before you may wear a cape.

Capes can be bought from other players.

They can also be dropped from lvl45 monsters or higher (very rare).

Cabal Blader skills tips

-----------------
Skills By Rank
-----------------

Don?t bother getting Dash or Fadestep till you feel confident that you can use them correctly.
Fade Step is in my opinion not useful for bladers, as we?re more the close combat types.

Novice
As a Blader starts, he only has skills with fast cast compared to later skills. This will give them a chance to get used to the speed of their skills during combos.
Don?t bother getting Fade Step, it?s of no real use to us Bladers IMO.
Also try to grind as much as possible on these low exp mobs, cause you?ll need to rank up to Apprentice Rank asap.

Skills to get at this point :
Stab & Slash

Apprentice
Get Double Slash(1). This is your first Starter skill untill later.

At this point skill exp will start to slow down to a snailpace. But if you don?t pay attention to it and just grind it up on mobs, it shouldn?t be a problem.

When you hit Apprentice 8, get Triple Slash(2). This will be your real first Filler. Drop Impact Stab for this one.

Skills To Get :
Double Slash

Regular
Don?t bother getting Rising Shot! NO! I SAID DON?T TOUCH IT! Good student, well then.
You ask why not to take this skill? Well here are my points :
1. Single Target
2. 1 hit
And at this point, a single target 1 hitting skill just will NOT do for a Blader.

Get Blade Force now, it?s a very helpful skill till you get Blade Aura. Adds quite a nice smack of attack.

When you can, drop Flash Draw, and get Double Rising(1,2). 3 Hits. Knock down, and AoE. Pretty Sweet huh?

If you want to get Death Cross(3), you?re gonna have to drop a skill. Let that be Stab & Slash then.
Death Cross will be your first Finisher skill.
Note : I personally dropped it later on for another skill, Hasing Dance(2,3)

Expert
This is when things start to get fun *big grin*. No, I?m serious, they do. Anyone who played a Blader till this point will agree with me that Assault IS the most usefull skill you can get. It?s Basicly Dash + Attack in one.
So get Assault, no discussion about it, DO IT!
Assault is the best starter you can wish for.
Though it is buggy in all channels apart from channel 5 & 7 on Mercury. Don?t use it in a combo in any other channel.

The next few things are up to you, since you also have Iron Skin, which will help you survive alot more.

Later get Hasing Dance(2,3), it?s the most beautiful (and deadly) skill you?ll get on this level. It has AoE and Knockdown, which is quite usefull and impressive. Double Slash HAS to go.

Now then, after lvling your skills high enough (40) you should get Storm Grind(2), delete Triple Slash for it.

A.Expert
If you didn?t get Iron Skin yet, get it now. Mirage Step is pretty useless in my opinion, don?t get it.
Also don?t touch Round Cut, just keep lvling your skills and get Mirage Grind(2,3).
I was commented that it looks like a Tornado. And in a way it does, cause that?s the effect, a tornado of damage. 720 degrees of pain.

After you get in your 30s with skill lvls, replace Blade Force by Blade Aura. Why just now and not sooner? Because else you would have walked around with a 60 second buff that gives less attack. And you really don?t want that.

Master
You get 3(!!!) skill slots for reaching this level. Get Dash (and Concentration) now if you didn?t earlier. Dash is very usefull when you max it to 9.

The skills here are expensive as hell. The only skill I?ve gotten my hands on now is Twin-Moon Slash(1,3), and I just LOVE it.
Blader using hit and run? I?ve done it, and I like it. All Bladers lower in Rank just kept chasing me while I Dashed and Twin-Mooned them.
I recommend this one.

Vital Intefere works like a charm against those that don?t use combos.
Stuns them for 3 seconds or so, give you enough time to cast a spell and stun them again, up to you how high you want to level it.
Good PvP and War Skill.

Also Aura Barrier shouldn?t be touched till later for the same reason as Blade Force and Blade Aura.

A.Master

Blade Cry is the only skill to get at A.Master, but it?s a great one. Use it as a last skill though because of the cooldown.

-----------
COMBOS
-----------
This is probably one part you guys were looking for, the combos.
The combo orders stated here mostly work best at lvl 3 or higher, since the cool down isn?t as big a when you get it. There for the combo spamming is easier.
These are for Rank Apprentice of Higher most of the time.
Also, fast skills are easier to get to high combos with.
Most of them have been tested. But as many say, Practice Makes Perfect

Blader build guide of Cabal

1~10: Pure questing, aiming for growth lvl and extra stats go for next tier of armor.

Skills~ Target apprentice asap, once apprentice is reached ( due to grinding or so ) focus on equipement/cash grinding which shouldn't take long.

- skills you use at this point are reasonably useless.

10~20: Same as above, try and put any extra stats at 1/3 int and 2/3 dex.

20~30: Grinding is still rare, yet you should find decent gear through these lvls. Same as the previous lvl, keeping your mind on your growth lvl.

30~40: Make sure you have full +3 skill exp gear ( includes amulets/Rings/armor/weapons ) money spent at this point isn't a waste, you earn loads at higher lvls. Any low/med upgrade cores for aramid/shadowsteel/... tier should be used on your adept since you will be using this for some time.

- You should have reached mid-high regular here.

40~50: Make sure you have your growth lvl. Extra stats go dex completely. Armor should be getting up to +3/4 full, and weapons to at least +5. Make sure that through these lvls you make the expert rank ( 51-52 is acceptable ).Grinding is off the essence.
Save up all your crafting required items. You will need it later on.

50~55: Lvl up your crafting to full 100% in all, sell your pink items for 35-40k each, which should sell FAST. ( open up a shop and restock every 20 minutes ). Grind on port lux mobs and hold all discs/cartridges you find for future crafting/trading for other materials.
Money should be flying in, so stop focusing on that, and break up all your bluestin for materials.

55~60: Make the growth goal, put rest in dex. Make sure you hit high expert, lvl up your self buffs ( after getting fighting skills to 9 ) unlearn all skills you don't use. Start saving up some money for a.expert skills.

- Avoid pvp for now, test your combos on some friends nonetheless, you'll need to master comboing for the future.

60~65: Lvling shouldn't get to hard, pump your str ~ dex on a 1-3 ratio. Find the fastest AoE mob you can find without taking to high damage and save up materials. Save up cores for titanium armor. You should have a cape by now, if not, don't worry, your iron skin covers your hp and defence. You should hit a.expert around 64-65 if you grind enough.

65~70: Stop pumping into str when you have about 195 of it, and put remainder in dex. Skills should be on a.expert, raise them to 40 when you reach 70 and you should be ok. Get some force absorb rings + force regen amulet for pvping, get a strong +2-3 titanium set ( if slotted use force cores for HP implementation on armor ~ boots, use crit damage on swords ~ random lvl 2 on helmet ~ random lvl 2 on gloves. ) Start going for bluestin crafting, sell each pink piece for around 350-400k, hold purple ones for yourself or your guild, you don't want these in other's hands, the faster you hit master, the better, so slowing others down wont hurt you.

70~75: Pump str to 210-15 and put the rest in dex, master swords should cover to titanium +5 suit. Ranking magic should cover katanas. Get better equipement, and raise your skills to master~a.master and focus on comboing.

Cabal Blader lvling tips

1)Basic Info
Bladers: first things first if you want to be a blader
you got to know the basics.
Bladers are a class that has alot of speed and
attack. Bladers are a good class to start and cabal alz very easy to play. Bladers start
out in a town called Desert Scream also known as DS. Bladers wear suits called
Martial Suits. At level 1 go do the first starting quest of the game. Hit the
letter "T" on your keyboard to look at your quest list. follow what the quest
tells you to do. (you have to talk to all the NPC's in the town.) then you will
receive a reward 100 XP and cabal alz some potions. Next go outside the town and fight
garlies.

2)Level Guide
lv.1-10:
The first skill you get in the game is
called impact stab its a very basic sword move. if you dont wanna sit there and
keep hitting auto attack press "O" on your keyboard then go to options and cabal alz under
"game" go down and hit "auto attack". so you dont have to keep hitting 1 all the
time :D.
Once you level up! press "C" on your keyboard and at the top of the
page it will say GOAL for level 10 and cabal alz you get 5 points each level so try to put
all the points you get to make that goal by level 10.

lv 10-20:
Now that your level 10 and cabal alz have some gold on you go to the
Instructor in Desert Scream and click "Learn Skills" hit "sword skills" and you
can see what skills you can learn now if you can buy the skill Flash draw. Then
go to the officer you get a special quest. (make sure you have done all the
quest under Blader when you press "T") do what the quest says. you will start
the quest with the officer in Desert scream.once you are done with all of things
they ask you to do. You will have to go to the Warp Center where there are 4
gates you can go into Bloody Ice GreenDespair Desert Scream and the last one is
the Dungeon where you go to do all your "Rank up quest" like the one you do at
level 10. Once you go in there finish it. Then come out go back to Desert Scream
and cabal alz go to the officer turn it in you will get a STYLE UP! :D you can Press "C"
and see you can follow a new goal to level 20. and Press "K" go to special and
you can go down till you see COMBO!. its a BIG thing in this game. PvP/PvE. You
can check other guides and around the forums how to use this. now press "M" on
your keyboard go down to the bottom and hit the one that says suited area
hunting spots (dont know what its called) and go fight the red garlies in one of
the yellow hunting areas. You will level pretty fast. pick up alot of gold and
drops. once you have hit the rank Apprentice. go back to the instructor and go
to sword skills and (if you got alot of gold to buy concentration + other sword
skills get it now) if you dont have enough dont worry about it. get the skill
dash and cabal alz wait till
you have enough to get double slash your first very good skill and sometimes
an end game skill. Go back to hunting. When you hit level 20 go to the officer
in Desert scream (REMEMBER TO DO ALL THE BLADER QUEST) talk to him finish what
he tells you to do. Once you are done with all that the last person you will
talk to is the Instructor in Desert Scream. he will give a key to go do the next
dungeon. now finish it and go back to the Officer in Desert scream you will get
another STYLE UP!! here this time you get to choose your AURA. and you cant
change it so choose wisely on my blader i choose WIND aura.

lv.20-40
now go to the armor store in the town and you should be able
to wear the next set of martial suits. Next go to the weapon shop in the town
and buy new swords (if yours are worse then the ones in the store). you should
be getting pretty far into Apprentice and almost to Regular (next rank) if your
not go to the Instructor and buy the cabal gold skill called "regeneration" and take your
swords off and go Punch monsters that dont hit you alot of damage and you dont
hit them alot of damage level your skill up till your Regular or almost Regular.
Once you hit Regular make sure you have some gold to be able to afford the next
set of skills. if not go kills monsters till you have enough. Buy the next
skills here "Blade Force" your first sword attack buff. and try to save up cabal gold
for "Death Cross". was one of my favorite moves at regular. Now level up to 30
:D. Now your level 30, this is a very important level!!! make sure you have kept
up on all your blader quest. go to the Officer in Desert Scream. and he will
give you a quest just like the ones for level 10 and 20. repeat and cabal gold do what he
says. now do the dungeon and once you come out go back to Desert Scream and turn
it in. Now you get your Battle Mode 1 (BM1).
And you should be now very close to your next Suit of armor. Called Armid. If
you are a rich level 30 with 500k or more go to channel 1 and go to Green
Despair. and buy Armid gear called Adept (wont be very hard to find) try to find
some cheap with +2 skill peices that are around 100k a peice. Adept helps you
level your skill rank Faster then it normally does. You can also look under
"search" for guides for SKILLING and ADEPT.
once you are done with that go fight some more monsters at level 30 for fighting
go across the bridge on the left side of town. and go fight the birds on that
side.the clay gargolyes. also go back and get the skills death cross and double
riseing. Fight there until 40.

After Lv.40
CONGRATS!! at level 40!! you should have the idea of
keeping up with quest and skills by now it should be getting easier to play the
game. Also keep in mind do your rank up quest! once you complete you can now use
BM1 & Aura at the same time! and almost Expert rank or you are Expert. Get
the skills Assault and iron skin ASAP. hasing dance will come later and storm
grind. Now go and fight the LUGS that are at the back of Desert Scream.Fight
there until level 50 you should be on your way to A.expert.

When you get level 50, go do your rank up quest!! THIS IS A BIG RANK UP
QUEST you can now get your Battle Mode 2 (BM2) for bladers BM2 is a BIGGG!
thing!. it helps alot and i think the best BM2 in the game. now go to Green
Despair and go the Port Manager and hit "go to Port Lux". Now you are in a new
place !! :D go and fight the turtles outside of town.(remember to be keeping up
with your swords and Gear) now do alot of quest here for cabal alz & XP once you
Hit A.expert now go to the Instructor in Port Lux (PL) hes by the flame hounds
the fire dogs. get the skill under upgrade skill change get the one thats makes
all your magic XP go to sword. Now you will go alot faster and now that you have
gold. go back channel 1 and buy more Adept for skilling. now go level. once you
hit 55+ go fight golems in the back of PL until you hit level 60 then do your
rank up quest in
Desert Scream once your done with that you can use BM2 + Aura =ownage now go
hit 65!!! you should be Master by now get Mirage Step and Blade Aura. once you
hit 65 you can now go to Fort Runia. its the portal by the turtles in PL.

Cabal Tips: How Cabal differs from other MMOs

Cabal Online has a lot in common with other massively-multiplayer online role playing games (MMORPG), and the first half hour or so you spend playing will be filled with a series of tutorials to show you how to control your character.

Whether you play a wizard, a force blader, or any other class, there are some aspects of the game that are not covered by the opening tutorials. This guide details on three things you have to remember regardless of class.

The most important thing is do quests. In most games, quests are simply a means to gain experience points (XP) and a little cash which is called alz in Cabal Online. However, quests are more important in Cabal Online. In fact, you have no choice but to perform certain quests to advance in the game.

A lot of players just complete enough quests to get them to the next level bracket, then disregard the other quests for the previous one because in other games, questing serves only that purpose. In Cabal Online, a long series of quests is required to access the advanced maps. A lot of players are forced to backtrack for hours performing quests that they could have finished earlier without much trouble. Perhaps the most important tip for Cabal Online is to do all the quests. Also, questing is a good source of honor points, which is another often-overlooked aspect of the game.

The next thing to remember is to advance your skill rank, which is separate from from your character's base level. It has been proven that in Cabal Online, being able to learn the most advanced skills is more important than having a high-leveled character. Therefore, it would be good to prioritize on skills with the shortest casting times instead of ones with bigger damage because your skill rank goes up with each instance you use a skill and not the amount of damage it deals.

On this note, invest on Adept equipment, which adds to the skill experience you gain. Many players wear Adept gear until they get to the highest skill rank possible (currently, Transcender). A lot of alz gets spent on learning substandard skills and then unlearning them again. Leveling your skill rank ensures that you get your alz's-worth because you get to purchase skills that you are more likely to keep.

The last thing to take note of is to raise your honor rank. Like skill rank, honor rank is more important than base level because it opens game features that would otherwise be unavailable to even a character at max level such as better potions and items for sale at the NPC merchants. Late in the game, your honor rank also helps your guild, as it factors in more heavily in guild ranking than the members' base levels.

These three things puts Cabal Online apart from other MMORPGs and they can also present certain complications to players who assume that base level is the most important thing to work on, as it is with other games. Hopefully, this guide would let you avoid certain frustrations while playing the game. Enjoy your stay in Nevareth!
